My '84 5KS IS.  This has come up before,  I parted out an early type 44
(pre-June 1983 build) and that one too was galvanized.  Only rust spot
was where some body work had been done to the drivers fender.  A lot of
build dates get thrown around, but I've yet to see ANY type 44 that's not
galvanized.  While most similar vintage 4K's, coupes et.al. here in the
Northeast are usually rustbuckets.
