Type 44 scale model

Hi all,

As a certifiable Audi and scale model nut, I was really happy when I found
a 1:18 type 44 sedan on www.scale18.com
It's expensive but there aren't many models of the type 44- in fact, this
is the only model of the post-'88 Audi 100 in existence.
It arrived today, and I'm pretty happy. The working lights and horn make it
something of a gadget, but otherwise it's a great model... but not of an
Audi. No rings on it anywhere, in fact. It's an FAW 7220, the Chinese
version of the type 44. There are a couple of charming Chinese characters
on it which, for all I know, could stand for 'egg foo yong', and it proudly
proclaims 'ABS' on the trunklid.
There are two AA batteries in the trunk and a switch underneath the car,
lights switch off after 10 seconds. Pushing the steering wheel operates the
horn.
A rarity, nicely made (superb paint!) and probably unique among Dutch Audi
model collectors.

If you want pics, let me know.

Tom
