I'm not doing this in the "intent" to blow my engine, i'm not atempting to
"cheat" the system either, but like Robert Deis says I would be in "theory"
protected by law. Ive had lots of experiences with dealers and sometimes the
smalest excuse is good to void a warranty, so If I have a problem with say
my wipers motor I don't want them to "blame" it on the chip were has if I
remove what ever I installed before bringing back to the dealer they wont
even think of giving me an excuse.
Yeah sure If i destroy my engine cause I set boost to 2bar Its my problem
and I should pay, It's totaly understandable. But should I pay if my wiper
motor dies!! Yeah like Robert says it has nothing to do with the chip so it
should be under warranty, but try to fight them...
I had an employee who had bought a brand new Sunfire Gt, he went throught 2
engines one day we goes to the movies when he gets back to his car, there is
oil all over the floor, he has it towed to the dealer and it's the tranny
plug that "fell out" GM would not warranty the tranny?! now he says he has
nothing to do with it (I personnaly know him and he is a mechanic
illiterate, so vandalism?) or GM on the last enigne swap (1500Miles ago)
did not tighten the bolt? or maybe it was not even the plug?! Who do you
think got stuck with the bill?!
