New solution to door handle failure

Got locked out of the LT1Q after our recent cold/snow in Denver
_both_ door handles refused to operate.  The solution?  Send my
four year old through the ski sock hole to unlock the doors. :-)

It is a real pain to have to take the child everywhere maybe I
need to fix the handles soon. ;-)

Anyone know of a source for the little ball fittings on the top
of the lock rods inside Type 44 doors?
