WOT boost

Sounds like ignition to me- how are your plugs/wires/distributor? High
boost and WOT has a tendancy to blow the spark out if it isn't strong
enough, which will cause the hiccups you're talking about. Solution is new
plugs/wires.

Not sure if the slower spool is related, but it could be.
