90Q lose acceleration.

Hi Q-listers,

Is it normal that older Audi models lose acceleration
at 1st gear and 2nd gear.

I drove my friends' 90CS but his car does not have the
acceleration problem. My mechanic recommended me to do
timing belt adjustment check. Do you have same
experience but other than the timing belt adjustment
problem? Please advice.
