e-brake question

I used regular black o-rings.  That's what was in
there.  I think they may be nitrile?  The powder coat
guy also said "no way the powder coat will work, the
brake fluid will eat it right off".  Yeah, he knows
his product.  Maybe it's because I keep my brake fluid
inside the calipers.  I don't know if the o-ring is
swollen or whatever, and I don't feel like
disassembling a fully functional caliper to see.  If
it was wasted, the brake fluid will come out the cam
seal.  Absolutely, no doubt.  When or if I ever see
brake fluid there, or they stop functioning, or I lose
my mind I'll inspect them.
