Or you could just thread the new bolt in from the back side and turn it with
a wrench to push the little cap out. The threads will be totally protected,
you only need the one wrench and you can leave your punch and hammer in the
toolbox.
Personally, I suspect minimal benefit from the wastegate modification
anyway, and I have done this modification on both of my Type 44's. This
could be because I run K24 turbos. I have discussed this in previous posts.
I intend to get some acceleration data from my cars to understand the
wastegate mod better when I have more free time.
