VW community mailing lists?

Well... There is the scirocco.org crew. Nuttiness on par with this very
list, if a bit smaller (in many respects)
Seriously, I've met the nicest guys on there and we're looking for more.
Go to www.scirocco.org, navigate to "mailing list" and follow the
directions. Easy, you'll be talking about which tires are best in no time.
Then there's www.vwvortex.com, but it's more of a chat board.
Also, I see the 16v Scirocco as a step _up_ from the CGT. Congrats.

Personal taste, but it's lighter and shorter, with plenty power. Neither has
quattro, so for performance I think the scirocco blows the CGT away. For the
interior, the CGT has the undeniable Audi craftsmanship, but the 16v
Scirocco was the VW flagship of the day, and it's interior is well done. I
sold my 87 16v because I can't have 4 cars, and it was the only one that's
legal... sad day. :-(
<flame suit off>
Hope to see you on the (scirocco) list.
Oh, and anyone's welcome, with an A1 VW fascination.
