Aluminium wheels-slow air leak.

At least your tire place didn't super glue tape on weights onto the outer lip of the rim. Mine did because I "insisted on tape weights" when they told me it couldn't be done. I took it somewhere else afterwards and they told me the first place likely just didn't have the proper machine to do inside balancing. So now I've got permanent paper outlines of where those tape on weights were... Anyone know how to get the super glue and paper off my stock Ronal alloys?

I asked my shop to use stick-on weights, when I picked up the car they
claimed they didn't have any (contrary to what the guy at the counter said,
of course).

These are the same guys that called me in at midday while the 5KTQ was in
for a timing belt, claiming that if they put any more force onto the breaker
bar they would probably break the bolt on the pulley (this is an
ex-dealership mechanic...).

I got the car out of their fangs, got the advice from the list and did the
timing belt with rented tools from Blau in 5 hours on my sidewalk.

Sometimes you just have to wonder... I still don't know of a mechanic here
in Richmond, VA who likes to work on older Audis.
