just a quick comment here... when I wus a whippersnapper (back in the
early 30's) one thing I admired greatly in the euro cars
(saab/volvo/bmw, and their kid brothers audi, vw) was that they would
keep essentially the same sheet metal for years and years, but refine
the cars actual bits that mattered instead.
