I'm confused. Why does quoting hoary old lines from a classic film
count as "writing?" The funny part is it got started by my throwing a
few "Pythonesque" lines out that actually *were* original... but with
recognizable stylistic roots, I guess!
ooh, count me miffed!
I could probably quote entire shows from memory... but it's more amusing
to at least paraphrase, if not just work fresh material in their
particular, um, what is that word? idiom, that's it, in their idiom.
Ah, those witty brits. Anyone for a Young Ones/IRS Comic Strip quote
fest?
"That's not my car, my car is a yellow Anglia with flames on the
bonnet!"
"Vivian, that car is a yellow Anglia with flames on the bonnet..."
"But it's not my car!'
(name that episode)
I figure the mention of a car and the color yellow gets this off topic
post in sideways, just barely.
