Hi all,

Today I drove the 1981 Audi 100 back to its owner, and chatted with him
about the car. Turns out it was given to him by the father of a friend, who
wasn't able to drive it himself after a seizure. This man was the first
owner, and the car had always been serviced properly.
So I told him to be careful with the car (his previous transport was a very
beat-up 1990 VW Polo Van) and to notify me if he ever wanted to sell it. He
loves it, so I guess selling's not on the cards yet.

Oh, and the reason why I drove it in the first place was for its annual
safety inspection, the previous cetrificate had run out in September '00.
Guess what: it passed first time, not a single remark! I've never had a car
older than four year pass without at least some repairs, never mind a 1981
with 207k km!

I'll take pics of the car soon.

Tom
