Hi gang,
Any BTDT's on how to remove the clip that holds the rod which moves the arm
that locks the center diff (i.e. at the tranny end)? I'm trying to remove
the whole assembly off a '86 4kq to transplant onto my urq and I've got
everything loose except that clip. Its tight in there and hard to
see. BTW, the '86 rear lock mechanism is completely different than I
recall in the Bentley. In the B, the vacuum actuator pulls or pushes on a
short arm clamped onto a shaft. On this '86 4kq, the mechanism is simpler
with the actuator connected directly onto a short arm which goes right into
the rear diff.
TIA,
-Tony
