Not to knock Miatas (luv 'em 'specially when I accidentally spin 'em, at
least when their tail cuts loose I can catch 'em (not the GTi, the
definition of "snap-spin")), I may own one someday when I finally quit on
the GTi Solo car, but I definitely don't think of them as "powerful".
Adequate, yup, much like the ur'944 and even the 4KQ, but
powerful....like an 8V GTi (feels real good, but nowadays can be beaten
off the line by many a well driven better econobox (Neon's, 16V Corollas
and Civics, etc, even Taurus' and Impala's (Yech!))). But get them on a
twisty Auto-X course and wave Bye-Bye out the rear view mirror (except
the Neon).
LL - NY 200Q (power for the track), A2 GTi 8V (power for the turns)
