I love my car...

Here! Here!  I have a 1984 CoupeGT (purchased 1986) with 275,000 miles on it
that I have been driving since college.  The car has never left me stranded
even once!  I have been so pleased with it, that I will never sell it.  It's
going to the grave with me!

...and I thought I'd say it. Too often, someone that lurks on the list
gets the wrong idea about Audi's and/or their owners. All we ever talk
about are problems with the cars and offer solutions. Well, guess what?
Nothing's wrong with my car and I absolutely love it.

My car is a 10 year old, first year edition of the C4 chassis; it's a
1992 100CS non-quattro with 5-speed transmission and it's just passed
the 80k mile mark. A few weeks ago, I had the good fortune to have a
full set of Bilstein shocks installed on the car and I continue to be
impressed with the ride quality.

As I sit here and write this, I can see my car sitting in the office
parking lot... it's a handsome vehicle, no nonsense, just good looking.
It's the view of the car that prompted me to write this message to the
list. I have a car that I own outright and it's condition belies it's
age. The size of the car is more than adequate for my small family. The
image that the 100CS projects is one of success, which I vainly enjoy.
The driving experience, while not overly quick, is thoroughly
satisfying.

I am human, however. I dream about TT coupe ownership. I dream about VW
GTI 337 ownership. I dream about A6 2.7TT ownership. The reality
though, is that I'm going to keep my car for a long, long time. Why
would I sell it?

I love my car. And I look forward to a long ownership experience. I'm a
happy car guy.
