detailed 1.8t problems

   I recently put a 1.8 t in an 87 vw scirocco. Everything went perfect. But 
now it is done, and when I plug in the mass air flow sensor it runs rich. But 
unplugged it runs smooth. I even tried plugging in another one, and the same 
problem. I also tried another one while the car was running, with it not in 
the air stream, and it does the same thing but there is no air running 
through this one, so it is really weird. I have no clue what else to do.

let me know if you have any suggestion.
