How to tell alternators apart?

The VR will fit on both versions the 90 and the 110, makes NO difference!

Hey friends, I'm thinking that at 165K miles, I ought to have a spare brush
pack handy for the alternator in my 1990 200.  I am advised by the parts

here that there were 90 amp and 100 amp versions on the 200...and I can't
find any visible label or clue that's still readable on the alternator.

Can anyone advise me on whether there's a way to tell which alternator I
have
from visual evidence??
