The specs quoted where for his (who started this thread?)
280Z and my '93 Miata, also not the sportiest of the line.
You'd want to look at a '94 "R" model for that.

Are there faster cars? Yup.
Are there better handling cars? Yup.
Do you like yours? Yup.
Do I like mine? Yup.

If you really want to burn rubber, a few manufacturers
make turbos and superchargers for the Miata. That's the
benefit of large production numbers.
