I saw a 240Z last year at both the Grand Am and ALMS events at Mosport.
It wasn't running in the main event but one of the "filler" events, the
Canada GT cup. The one that used to be split into GT1 through GT4 and GTO
and GTU. I don't have any pics scanned of it from my personal collection,
but I found one on the last page I checked on my favorite race site. It's
not a race I was at, but it's definitely the car. Fourth row down, middle
picture.

When I asked him what was under the hood, he said that the new motor was
a Porsche flat 8. I'm guessing from the Boxster. I asked what was in it
before and he said that he'd tried a number of engines in the car before
settling on the flat 8 for cooling, weight, balance and power reasons. He'd
tried a turbo on the stock motor but it couldn't handle the upgrade. He
said he's also tried a four cylinder in it with a turbo, but blew that
aswell. Next a Ford Mustang motor, but it was unreliable and prone to
overheating. Then the last motor he'd tried for half a season was an Audi
turbo 5cyl. I don't remember the exact reason he didn't stay with that one.

Wait a tick... drop a V8 in a 240Z??
What else do you need to do? Possibly a 5 speed from a 280?
