CARB's smoggy skies

Try using one of those emissions helpers that you add to the gas. There are several that offer a guarantee to pass. I used it once in my 1981 4k 5+5 when it had to be smogged in northern Virginia. It had failed the previous test but just a hair. It passed with lots of room to spare after using something like this stuff: http://www.autobarn.net/ch05063.html It's sure worth trying at about $6 per treatment. :)

Failed my smog test today--GRRR!!! Missed CARB's hydrocarbons by 8, max
allowed is 120, mine 128. Other tests fine, car runs great, mobil 1 every 5k
mi., etc.; idle measured on dyno is 751 rpm. (a wee low, no?)

I'm planning on: red line fuel injector cleaner (run til empty), chevron
supreme gas, finally a pre-check oil change. Anything else I can do of a
non-mechanical nature? (trying to avoid another visit to wrench)
