Eibachs question

Hi gang. In the process of removing and refurbishing the chassis on my ur-q, I had the springs powdercoated. I labeled them front and rear with notches etched into the top coil. But I noticed that all 4 springs look the same. Same height and same coil pattern. Eibach says the front springs are linear and the rear are progressive for my application, but by eye, they are nearly identical, progressive coil pattern. Anyone familiar with this?
Also, which side goes up? There is no more Eibach sticker on them. I was told the closer coils go on top.
