Best line to tap for boost gauge? (late 89 200 TQ)

I'm already chipped, but the previous owner had set it
back to 1.4. I'm going up to 1.8 again, but before I
do, I'm installing a _real_ boost gauge, just to stay
safe.

So, in your opinions, which is the best line to
splice/hook onto/tap/etc.?
Also, should I hook a T-splitter to the hose and use
that, or put a T-splitter on the gauge and send two
hoses to it? The latter seems better/stronger, but
more 'space-costly'.

Anyone know the kg/cm^2 (or US equiv) for the 1.8bar
spring? Picking up a generic spring locally would be
easier than getting one shipped, I assume.

Thanks
Matt
