OK-
Got some great leads on tracking down my charging problems (and a pointer to Huw's site...) same voltage at battery, alternator and starter... Based on what I have been told, might be the brushes (pulled out the voltage reg. and one is at 2mm the other at 4mm)
Also on the great advice, once I put the voltage regulator back in (correctly I hope) I cleaned the contacts on the alternator and the starter...

Now the car wont start....

HELP (AGAIN)

I tested the hot lead and it is getting 12.7 volts, the small wire to the solenoid lights up when the ignition switch is turned to start, but nothing happens.... What did I do this time???
Did I somehow fry the solenoid??? Not put the voltage regulator in right??? I didn't touch anything else...

This hasn't been a good day...

thanks again in advance
