Blaufergnugen's web site is advertising Leistritz OE rear mufflers for the
'85-'87 4kq for $189.95.

Of course, if your experience with Blau is anything like mine, they'll be
out of stock...
Maybe an Ansa piece will hold up in the middle -- it's not subject to a lot
of flex and gets pretty hot, so maybe it won't collect much condensation. I
had Ansa rear muffler on my car and the pipe broke after about 30,000 miles.
The middle seemed OK, though.
I checked with Rod at the Parts Connection before buying a Stebro -- he
wanted about $500 for a Bosal system, which he described as a quality
product.
Blau also sells Stebro exhaust systems for about $600 once you add shipping.
I don't see any advantage to buying from them rather than the factory,
though. Either way, it's likely to take several weeks to arrive.
