Iain,
   I have been using 215/60/15 (Dunlop D40 M2's) on 15X7's (Fuchs) for a long 
time with no clearance trouble, though a friend of mine just put on some 
215/60/15's Yokohama AVS's on 6" wheels and he had some pretty bad rubbing.  
I am not sure what I am going to do when the D40's wear out, they don't make 
them anymore.
