anyone tried Sumitomo HTR200?

The HTR200 is a very good tire for the money. It's as good as any
H-rated tire for wet and dry performance, but will wear faster than some
of them, be louder than most, and have a slightly coarser ride.

However, you simply can't compare it in terms of performance against a
V- or Z- rated Dunlop SP8000 or a Yoko AVS. Either is FAR superior for
traction. And they should be since they cost as least twice what the
HTR200 does.

Both are exceptional tires for very little money... and both have been
discontinued without direct replacements in the wide variety of sizes.
(Where else am I going to get a Z-rated, non-R compound 205/60/13 tire
for my Corvair? ) Sad.

In my opinion, the AVS has the better dry performance while the SP8000
has better wet performance and much longer treadwear.
