Thanks. What I was trying to do was fit the AAN windage tray onto the 3B
engine.
I was told that this was a simple bolt-on addition that would help with
oil starvation
at high g loading, I forget in which direction. As you have mentioned,
there already
is a windage tray/baffle in the 3B engine and you have noted the
differences. I wish
that someone would have told me what you and I now know rather than me
finding out
empirically.

Maybe I was mistaken- was it the 10v MC engine that could benefit from
the AAN
windage tray?

I had to replace the oilpan gasket regardless, so that's why I looked
into this modification.

As for 3B to AAN conversion, I'm not undertaking that unless my engine
blows up, then
I have to look into that, possibly by using the 3B turbo/intercooler
plumbing, incl. IM
but retaining the direct ignition, as AAN engines are more plentiful
than 3B.
