T44 springs

Hi Darryl,

By "spec" do you mean they make springs to "fit" that application? Or, are you referring to the spring
"rates" of Eibach, B+G, H&R, and whoever else?

I have heard that the H&R's are noticeably firmer than the Eibach's, so if there is not much difference
between them in your view, I'm wondering if that is in regards to spring rates or fitment or what.

I know Intrax springs tend to really slam a car down pretty low, at least some of their spring models do.
That's not what I'm looking for, for the 5kcstq anyway.

I understand both B+G and Eibach (and/or H&R) use Wafios spring making machines. I don't know if that
makes a difference, that they are the same model spring machines, or if everyone uses those machines.

I have no experience with Eibachs, but I know they have a good reputation. I had H&R's on an (admittedly
underdamped and very light) Saturn and I thought they were a bit stiff. But then again, I put the stock
springs back in and sometimes think it's unnecessarily sporty (SL2's are firmer sprung than SL1/SL's,
stock).

I'm not all that crazy about Sprint springs or Suspension Techniques, but I can't back that up with
anything except maybe prejudice.

MMRUSA something or another dot com has B+G's for like $209, which isn't bad. If you can get a better
price than that on some springs I may have heard of, I might be interested. I guess I'd most be interested
in an Eibach-spec (and quality level) alternative.

Thanks,

Ken
