oops, you said idle screw... I was thinking fuel mixture adjustemnt
screw. That would have made for a much more interesting reply!
So, you needed more air at idle to get it to stay up. I'm assuming
you've played more ISV games than you care to remember by now...
But if you are doing that to get a stable idle, something is wrong
somewhere, you are covering it up, not fixing it.
Why don't you turn that idle screw back in and try turning the 3mm fuel
mix adjuster counter clockwise, for less fuel? That might work just as
well as more air. Only turn it slower - 1/6 to 1/2 turn at a time. Of
course this should be done while measuring the control pressure reg.
current to see what's actually happening.
