Theoreticly, yes- but I haven't seen it proven.

THere's a danger of trapping debris against the pipe and rusting it
prematurely (like SS brakes) and there's a danger of excessive heat
cycling leading to cracked welds at the flanges, but beyond that it's
worth a try.

I've seen these at an online exhaust tubing supplier, don't have a link,
though..
