Hi Alan,

"Thanks everyonbe for your responses.  A look at "redline magazine"
suggests that a 1991 audi 80 quattro sport is what to go for, apparantley
137 bhp 0-60 in 7.2 (which seems very low).  This has to be a 5 cyl,
right? although all the adverts im looking at are confusing,  a lot just
say audi 80 sport, or audi 80 quattro.  I guess sport doesnt necessarily
tie up with the engine size does it? and i guess it also doesnt
necessarily mean quattro either? thanks guys."

Isn't that one the 2l 16v engine? I thought the 80 quattro's of that
vintage had that engine, rather than the I5...? Didn't the 16v lump put
out about 140 odd bhp too? The earlier 80 quattro's in the UK, after the
I5 in the 84 model year, had the 1.8 8v 112bhp in them. Not sure when they
went over to the 2l.
