Automatic gearboxes. love them or hate them but why?

Well, seeing my habit of changing cars regularly, I'd at least like to
stand a chance of actually selling it. People aren't buying automatic type
89s here, not at any reasonable price at least. You can buy a decent used
80 for half the price of an equivalent manual car, but selling it on is
another thing. If you're in any hurry to get rid of it, scrap it. For the
larger cars it's no problem, you wouldn't have too much trouble selling a
100 w/autobox, though its value will still be lower than that of the
equivalent manual car.

Yeah, but when that car does need a new owner, it'd be a nice idea that
you'll be able to sell it. Unless you intend to drive it until it dies.
