Automatic gearboxes. love them or hate them but why?

Brake pads, wheel bearings, spark plug leads- no problem. They're shared on
many cars anyway. Any type 82-specific stuff (glass, lights, switches etc)
is a no-no.

That's why I'm not considering using it for everyday commuting... and the
differential is pretty noisy, the previous owner drove it nearly dry for a
long time apparently. No luck in finding a better example, so far.
