Vaccum hose for door locks: Where is it

This is a far far easier solution, and really not that much more
expensive. If you are putting in an alarm anyway, go out and pick up an
actuator at a local electronics store that sells alarm equipment. I got
mine at Circuit City. I think the actuator was about $25, and was
really quite simple to install. Find a spot to attach it to the door
frame, and hook the metal rod that is attached to it, up to the rod that
is attached to your door lock. That way, when you activate the
actuator, it works the same as if you were inside pushing the lock
mechanism up and down. A heck of a lot easier than running vacuum
lines, and all of that.
