Anyone tried electrolysis to clean/free up...say...a frozen caliper?

Just wondering. Sounds like it would work. Here's a link to a method
for antique engines. Environmentally safe to boot.

I think ultrasonic would work as well with a bath of ammonia and
water, but that really stinks! I got all fired up looking for the
Atlantic Marine Engine. There's a pic of a double-lunger on that site
as well.
