CV joint noise

You can pretty much tell which side it is on by where the noise
is coming from. Most of the time it will be the outer joint because
it has to turn at a much higher angle than the inner one.

First check to see if any of the boots are torn. That will be the first
clue, second put the car in neutral. This should take the tension off
the CV joints so you check them by twisting with your hand. This
worked for me once or twice.
