Temperamental cruise control

Hi Doug/All,
I have the exact same problem on my '86 4kq. My guess is that there is gunk
in the vacuum pump for the cruise, and it thins out when warm. Until then,
the pump can't pull enough to hold the the cruise at speed. I plan on
cleaning out the pump soon with soapy water. Just suck it through the pump.
Anybody else experienced this issue or tried the fix?
Cheers,
