Aha! So you want humor. These inspections are an out and out joke and
suffice only to generate a little revenue for both state and inspection
station.
The procedure:
check to see if there is tread on the tires.
blow horn.
flash lights
look at one brake pad.
You pass, $15 please. Here's your sticker. Ah'll put it on the winder fer ya.
Emissions? Huh? Whutcha talkin' 'bout? Ah don' see no cloud uh smoke.
Be aware, WV charges a "user's fee" when you bring a car into the
state. This is 5% of the book value of the car. It doesn't matter if you
have been driving that car for 15 years elsewhere. The idea is that it's
sort of like the sales tax they missed when you didn't buy the car in WV. :-(
