[V6-12v] Check/clean those MAF sensors - NO CARB CLEANER???

I'd say there is very little risk in just taking the sensor out and examining it
visually. If it's dirty, then proceed at your own risk with and with as much
aggressiveness as is warranted by the severity of your symptoms (if any). In my
case, the car ran measureably better w/o the sensor attached so I had nothing to
lose if I damaged it. For what it's worth, mark me down as a data point for use of
carb cleaner and toothbrush with no adverse effects and a significant improvement in
the end.
