Maybe you also used the Bosch platinum plugs that within a short time
will have such high resistance that most all wires would arc.

Subject: Bosch spark plug wires...crap?
I replaced the plugs, wires, cap and rotor on my '86 CGT about 20k ago
with
all Bosch components. Recently the car really began to run rough, and
was
hard to start. While underhood tonight, I noticed that at least 2 of the
plug wires are arcing to ground. Neither appear to be at a point where
the
wires would rub, etc. Anyone else experienced this with Bosch plug
wires?
Any better alternatives? I still have the original box and warranty card
that came with the wires. It says the wires are lifetime warranted, and
I
just need to buy a new set and return the old ones to Bosch for
verification. Anyone tried this? It says they need proof of purchase for
the
faulty wires. Is that a receipt, or just the bar code thingy on the box
(I
hope its the barcode, I have no idea where the receipt is)? TIA.
