This is covered redundantly in the archives and clearly in the
Bentley... there is a tiny mark on the back of the cam sprocket, at TDC
it is supposed to be lined up with the *top* of the cam cover gasket.
Obviously, at the same time the crank is set to TDC by the flywheel mark
and the distributor by the rotor to housing mark.
To get close, maybe even really close, do as Javad says, align the
camshaft so both front lobes are equaly distance from the head (sticking
"up", where "up" is in the direction the engine leans), and find crank
TDC by watching a screwdriver ride the #1 piston up and down. Then
check the marks, since your crank could be 180 degrees out at this
point!
