Brett - this happened to me on the track last year. The high pressure hose
split about 4 inches from its large union with the pump.
The first replacement also split! You should either obtain an OEM part to
keep the groaning noise under control, or get the hose shop to make one up
for you that uses your connectors and can withstand 2000 lbs pressure and
retains the outer jacket of the original hose. Assuming you still have that
piece and its intact.
I found the industrial truck supplier price was half the price of the OEM
which of course includes the unions and the noise suppressant material. My
replacement hose makes a slight groan when the car is cold.
