lambda and knock

hi guys, now my 90q is running sweetly, i want to get back onto my knock
light and f/a gauge, is there anyway of extracting this data straight from
the ecu(s), i seem to remember a lister had made a knock light and somehow
plumbed it into his ecu, any recollections?  if push comes to shove ill rig
up my f/a gauge straight onto the labda (but ensuring i dont upset the
voltage it is spitting to the ecu) but it would be tidier to loom straight
int the ecu, im not bothered if its only digital info that can be extracted
as one of my friends is well into pic programming.
