>First of all, I keep seeing WOB - what exactly does that mean??

Waste Of Bandwidth

>Second, I am REALLY trying to learn the fascination with NASCAR - trying
to
>give it a fair shake. I was unaware of the 2 road course races in
NASCAR,
>but will now be looking forward to watching them.

If you never "REALLY" get into NASCAR, I don't care, but it sure doesn't
sound like you're approaching it with an open mind. I doubt it will ever be
close to my favorite, personally I'm most interested in Rally.

>Third, how about the GT or Touring (what's that - Trans Am?)
championships.
>Now to me, that's really racing, and there IS Audi content there,
>considering Derek Bell, and (Gallotti? or who?) one other Audi A4 entry.
>Heck there's even a Golf!!

Fine, but you weren't talking about that series, and I didn't say that series
had NAC. Why not mention the article in the latest European Car profiling
the Instook/Intrax S4 racing in the GrandAm series? Why not talk about
the Abt team's recent DTM win at Zolder?

>My biggest objection to NASCAR is, that if you're going to race "stock
cars"
>let them be just that - CARS, not tube frames with wheels and a skin. I
can
>see a great deal more fascination in the early days of stock car racing,
>where the manufacturer's actually built the cars on the assembly lines,
>which were racing. THEN I could get in to it!!! That has some value - even
>carried through to the dealership floor, where you could find "tuned
down"
>versions of the same cars.
