Bose Woes. NAC

I would have to agree, scrap the Bose.
I have posted my opinion on this many times on the
list. It really isn't worth fixing the problem as it
is just a fix. Replace it. It reminds me of when I
used to work at my dads bike shop. People would come
into the shop with a Cheap Huffy that runs like crap,
spend a good percentage of the cost of the bike to fix
it up, yet when they leave the shop....it's still a
Huffy.
Replace the Bose with a good amp, deck, and speakers
and you'll be much better off, if money is problem,
buy in stages, get a good deck and fronts(mids and
tweets) this will sound great just by itself if set up
properly. Then when your tax return comes, buy that
amp and sub, if you want to take it further the system
is set up to. Also the Bose OEM equipment might not
match up with Aftermarket stuff. I know on the A4's
they us half ohm speakers and amp, you put in an
aftermarket 4ohm speaker and you'll have problems.
The only down side to putting in a good aftermarket
system is your car is more prone to break-ins, so
disguise your system to look like a stock bose system
if you can. If you need help let me know.

As far as home, I would have to agree with Taka, Bose
is way over-marketed, and overpriced for what you get.
Their stuff is not for the true audi(o)phile - audi
content ;0).
Use the money to buy these components and you will
hear a difference.
