installing awd in a golf ?

The Country versions are not known for their fine on-road handling, with
their high centre of gravity.
I diced with a Rally Golf G60 recently, on my favourite back road which has
been speed-limited by building a coupla chicanes. Now I'm fairly familiar
with these roads and the chicanes :-) and I managed to lose the Golf in my
FWD 80 1.8!
I know I didn't win on acceleration or outright speed (he'd been reading
the dealer name tag on my licence plate trying to pass me earlier), so I
guess he lost his bottle when I went through the chicane doing 120 km/h...
to be fair, that's more than the 80's chassis can handle, too.

They're pretty rare cars here in Holland, both the Country and the Rally. I
see two or three Countrys and one Rally a year, on average.
