Bose Woes. LAC! now: spkr upgrade

Unfortunately, all of the Audi speakers are some weird metric size.
They don't fit just right in any of the holes, BTDT.

That said, you can put a 3-way component set in the front doors, there
is tons of space for speakers in those door panels. Biggest problem is
the age of the panels- the plastic is getting so old at this point that
you have to be really careful or you'll crack/break lots of stuff.

The rear deck speakers are larger than 6.5". As a matter of fact, 6.5"
won't
fit right, you may want to try 6.75", but 6.5" can be made to fit w/ a
proper
adapter.

Cheap and easy- I'd say put some 2-way 6.5" components in the doors, a
pair
of coaxes in the back, powered by a nice 4-channel amp and get a decent
CD
head unit- it will sound pretty nice with this setup, that's basically
what I
ran in my old 5ktq.
