ATF in Engine to clean - Don't do it!

I agree... one time i tried this on a high mileage 5 cylinder...
started smoking and was not a good thing to do.
I recently had a rich condition in my 4kq and ended up draining the nasty
gas smelling oil
filled with fresh, ran for 20 min @ 2500rpm and dumped and replaced oil and
filter again.
oil is very clean now after 2200 miles on this change before the stuff was
BLACK.
much better method if you ask me,
don't use a flush just flush it with clean oil&filter and change it again.
