lifters + synth vs. petroil question

You know, you could just go ahead and spare yourself the heartache, and
put the new lifters in.... Especially if you are planning to drive the
car for a long time.
Hint, they're even on sale this week at the parts connection...
www.thepartsconnection.com
$6.95 each..... tempting eh? Then you can spend some quality time
with your car, and make sure it knows you love it.
Heck, you might get a slight bit more power too. Assuming you have a
few collapsed lifters, they won't open the valves quite as few when the
engine is running, right? So you're losing volume for the air and fuel
to get in or out, and losing power in the process.
: )
Of course, don't forget the silly vacuum pump while you are replacing
those lifters. You'll really notice that thing clacking away when all
of the rest of the lifter noise is gone.
Good Luck!
